Below is a list of
insurances that have been reported to DONA for random payment in different
states. In advisable for the patient to contact their insurance company
either via letter of intent (which we can provide) or a phone call to verify
Doula coverage. In most instances, they will not know of a Doula, but with
the growing women desiring a Doula, and women now being referred to a Doula
thru her physician, the chance of insurance companies growing also is
inevitable. Feel free to ask me any questions should you want to know more.
We are happy to submit claims for you after delivery!

Tri-Care Insurance is actually
considering Doulas as inclusion in healthcare contracts for military
families! Any midwives, doctors, past clients, and Doulas need to write
our congressman, our local hospitals, the Surgeon General at Office of
Surgeon General, 56-- Fishers Lane, Room 18-66, Rockville, MD 20857 and
Joyce Raezer, Director of Government Relations at the National Military
Family Association.
